Amel Kosovac
Amel Kosovac was born in 1981 in Sarajevo. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications at the University of Sarajevo in 2006. Since 2007, he has been engaged at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications, Department of Postal and Telecommunication Traffic, teaching subjects such as “Marketing in Traffic,” “Economics,” and “Infrastructure of Postal Traffic” after being appointed as an assistant.
He defended his master’s thesis on February 14, 2011, titled “The Impact of Direct Marketing on Improving the Business of Telecommunication Operators in a Liberalized Market,” earning the title of Master of Technical Sciences in the field of transport and communication technologies. He defended his doctoral dissertation on February 10, 2016, titled “The Application of Business Intelligence in the Logistics Processes of Postal Operators” at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications at the University of Sarajevo.
Currently holding the position of Associate Professor, he teaches courses in the field of postal and logistics technologies, as well as subjects such as “Technological Marketing” and “Customer Relationship Management.” He is the author of books such as “Drones and Their Use in Logistics,” “Innovative Technologies in Traffic and Transportation Safety,” “Infrastructure of Postal Traffic,” and “Processes of Logistics Operators,” as well as over forty scientific and professional papers. He has participated in numerous domestic and international conferences, congresses, and symposia, and has been involved in several research projects and studies. He held the position of Vice Dean for Business and Development at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications at the University of Sarajevo starting from December 28, 2018, and assumed the position of Dean on November 20, 2019.
Edin Forto
Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, was born on 16 August 1972 in Sarajevo, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1999 he graduated from the University of North Carolina, School of Media and Journalism, gaining a B.A. degree. In 2001 he completed his Master studies at the University of Columbia in New York, Master of International Affairs, majors: International Finance and Business, gaining the MIA degree. He lives in Sarajevo. He is married and has two children.
Olja Čokorilo
Prof. Dr Olja Čokorilo is a Full Professor and Head of the Air traffic department – Division of Aircraft at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. She has completed professional training at CRDS EUROCONTROL (Hungary) and AENA (Spain).
She has participated in the development of more than 50 projects and studies, authored or co-authored over 150 scientific papers, and contributed to several books in the field of air transport.
She has served as an ethics evaluator for the European Commission (2015) for programmes including SESAR and Clean Sky 2, among others.
By a decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia (2015), she was appointed for three terms as Chair of the Management Board of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia.
She was nominated as the representative of the Republic of Serbia to the MAB – Member States Advisory Body of EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) (2016–2020), and served as a member of the working group for the promotion of aviation safety – the EASA Safety Promotion Network Community (2016–2020).
She is a Full Member of the Engineering Academy of Serbia (IAS).
By decree of the President of the Republic of Serbia, on the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, she was awarded the Order of Sretenje, First Class, in recognition of her outstanding merits and achievements in public and educational activities (2026).
Sanja Steiner
Prof. Dr. Sanja Steiner is a prominent Croatian scientist, retired professor, and leading expert in the field of transport sciences.
She was born in 1964 in Zagreb, Croatia, graduated in air transport studies, earned her Master’s degree from the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka (1995), and obtained her PhD in 1998 at University of Zagreb.
She is an Associate Member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) in the Department of Technical Sciences.
She serves as a scientific advisor at the Institute of Transport and Communications in Zagreb.
She is a long-standing professor and former Head of the Department of Air Transport at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, specializes in strategic transport planning, air traffic management, and aviation safety.
The author of over 200 scientific papers, studies, and professional books, she has led around ten scientific projects and held numerous professional roles; notable among these are her professional membership in the Air Traffic Control Association, membership in the European Advisory Committee of the Flight Safety Foundation, membership in the European Commission’s Expert Group managing the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for transport, as well as serving as Chair of the Supervisory Board of Croatia Control and as a member of the Council of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency.
Davorin Primorac
Davorin Primorac is the Director of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA), a position he has held since 2015. With more than 20 years of experience in civil aviation, he has led the development and strengthening of air navigation services in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prior to his current role, he held several positions within BHANSA, including Head of the Air Traffic Management Division, and served as a member of the BHANSA Supervisory Board for five years. Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to major strategic civil aviation projects, including the implementation of Free Route Airspace and the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European air traffic management network, which were recognised with the European Commission Single European Sky Awards in 2017 and 2019.
During his tenure, BHANSA assumed full responsibility for the provision of air navigation services in the upper airspace of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2019, marking a historic milestone for the country’s civil aviation and positioning BHANSA as a reliable service provider within the European aviation system.
Ibrica Berberović
Ibrica Berberović graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mostar, University “Džemal Bijedić”, in 2006.
Since 2008, he has been employed at Mostar International Airport in the Technical and Maintenance Department. From 2009 to 2021, he served as Head of the Technical and Maintenance Department and subsequently as Head of the Technical and Maintenance Sector. During this period, he participated in all major infrastructure projects of crucial importance for maintaining Mostar International Airport’s international status and ensuring compliance with all relevant ICAO standards. These projects included runway rehabilitation, reconstruction of the AGL system, installation of PAPI navigation systems for Runway 15, expansion and resurfacing of Apron I, expansion of the terminal building, and other significant infrastructure projects.
In 2021, he was appointed as a member of the Management Board of Mostar International Airport, serving as Executive Director, a position he continues to hold today.
One of his significant achievements and contributions was his appointment to the team responsible for implementing the EASA certification process at Mostar Airport. As a result of this process, in 2024 the airport obtained a certificate of compliance with EASA regulations. This certification significantly enhanced the airport’s credibility and standing during negotiations with airlines, as it demonstrates the airport’s operational competence and safety in the handling of aircraft, passengers, cargo, and baggage. During his tenure as a member of the Management Board, he also contributed to attracting airlines and opening new routes from Mostar, which have contributed to expectations that 2026 will see the highest passenger and aircraft traffic levels in the airport’s history.
Alongside his professional responsibilities and extensive engagement, he has completed numerous aviation-related training programmes and obtained certificates in various fields of aviation. He has also completed the professional development programme for chairpersons and members of supervisory boards and management boards of companies with state capital participation, as well as training as an internal auditor and energy manager.
In January 2026, he successfully completed his Master’s degree at the Faculty of Transport and Communications of the University of Sarajevo.
Muharem Šabić
Dr. Muharem Šabić was born on 28 October 1963 in Grevići, Municipality of Prozor, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade, specializing in Aerospace Engineering, with a major in Aircraft Design. He subsequently obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Sarajevo and, in 2009, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “An Approach to the Redesign of the Spatial Structure of Aircraft Maintenance Systems” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica.
The major part of his professional career has been devoted to the aviation industry, where he has worked as an engineer and manager in the field of aircraft maintenance. Throughout his career, he has held a number of significant professional, managerial, academic, and public positions. These include serving as Technical Director of BH Airlines, Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, Advisor to the President of the Sarajevo Chamber of Economy, Head of the Department of Transport at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications, University of Sarajevo, and Deputy Director General of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA).
He currently serves as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications, University of Sarajevo, where his academic and professional activities focus particularly on transport, aviation, aircraft maintenance systems, and related engineering and management disciplines.
